FFBT supports the 'Scalp Cooling' project at Sana-Klinikum Offenbach

On February 16, 2019, the Frankfurter Förderverein zur Bekämpfung von Tumorerkrankungen (FFBT) e. V. decided to support the 'Scalp Cooling' project at the Outpatient Oncology Center of the Sana-Klinikum Offenbach with €40,000. This project aims to significantly improve the quality of life of patients undergoing cancer treatment. The study was launched in September.

Hair loss is a very burdensome side effect of cancer therapy, as it leads to stress, dissatisfaction with one's own body and often to depression. Hair loss can be minimized or stopped through scalp cooling. The FFBT supports research into improving the quality of life of cancer patients.
